The iconic cafe that was recognized for serving the best coffee in Porto in the early 1900s will be welcoming patrons once again when it reopens as part of the launch of the city’s newest hotel offering – the Pestana Porto A Brasileira Hotel. A Brasileira Cafe will be back in its original layout in the historic building when the new luxury hotel opens its doors in mid-March 2018.
The conversion of the historic building to a 5-star hotel included a full restoration of the architectural features of the original building. The hotel is located a short 10 minute walk from the Douro River and Ribeira Square, near the Teatro Sá da Bandeira, São Bento train station, Livraria Lello and Café Majestic.
The hotel’s 89 rooms and suites are equipped with air conditioning, free WiFi, USB charger, hair dryer, LCD TV, minibar and room safe. Rooms and suites range in size from 23 m2 to 37 m2, and connecting rooms can be requested. Rooms have a maximum capacity of 3, and the Master Suite can accommodate up to 4 adults.
In addition to A Brasileira Cafe, the hotel will also have a restaurant that offers traditional Portuguese cuisine from the highly acclaimed chef Rui Martins, a bar, gym, and meeting rooms.
