Convento de San Jerónimo – a richly decorated monastery built by the Catholic Monarchs in 1496
Albaicín – the old Moorish quarter is a maze of twisting alleys, containing a mix of dilapidated white-washed houses and immaculate private villas with splendid patios inside
Sacromonte – visit Granada’s gypsy district to see the restored caves that have been authentically reconstructed, and take in one of the famous flamenco shows
Mirador San Nicolás – a lookout post that attracts many at sunset to see the unbeatable views of the Alhambra and the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada mountain range
