Barceloneta is a small, triangle-shaped area in Barcelona that is bordered by the beach, the old port, and El Born neighborhood. What was once a quiet fishing community is now a lively area that that attracts people who come to enjoy the many cafes, bars, and restaurants that line its streets.
Located at the end of the marina is the Restaurante Barceloneta, which specializes in seafood and rice dishes. The menu is filled with all types of shellfish (clams, mussels, prawns, razor clams, lobster), fish (cod, salmon, sole, monkfish), and rice dishes (seafood, paella, black rice with cuttlefish, and black noodles with cuttlefish). Meat lovers can also find a variety of beef, lamb and pork dishes. If you have room for dessert at the end of your meal, you can choose from a wide selection of fresh fruits, ice cream, sorbet, and of course traditional dishes like flan and crema catalana (crème brulee).
