Lisbon is not a big city, but it is hilly and some of its sites are a bit spread out. This panoramic tour offers a comprehensive overview of the city by offering a well-balanced itinerary that combines a panoramic tour of a number of the city’s neighborhoods, plus stops along the way to walk around and visit sites with your guide:

You will be picked-up at your hotel at 8:30am for your private tour, which will begin in the Alfama district, the city’s oldest and most typical neighborhood. You will pass the 12^th C. Cathedral and then continue on to a magnificent viewpoint that overlooks the medieval district and the historic São Jorge Castle, with sweeping city and Tagus River views. Next in route is the Belém district to learn about the Portuguese Age of Discoveries. You can stop for photos at the Tower of Belém and the Monument to Discoveries, visit the Church of the Jeronimos Monastery, and try one of Lisbon’s best known sweet pastries, the Pasteis de Belém, the only place that produces the traditional custard tarts following the original secret recipe. You will then pass through the heart of Lisbon, including the Avenida da Liberdade, Restauradores Plaza, Rossio Square and Pombaline Downtown, and learn about the Great Earthquake of 1755 and the impact it had on the city.

Please note that some monuments in Lisbon are closed on Mondays (including the Jeronimos Monastery), so this tour is offered from Tuesday through Sunday.

This 3 hour private walking tour focuses on the Baixa, Chiado and Alfama districts in the very heart of the city center. Your guide will lead you through the historic streets and tell you about the city’s history, the different neighborhoods, and historic landmarks, such as:
