Get to know the favorite foods of Lisbon on this walking tour designed for families traveling with children aged 6-12. Ever wonder why sardines and cod fish are so popular in Portugal? Learn about the eating habits of the locals, their favorite snacks and meals, and typical drinks and desserts.
The 3 hour private tour begins down by the river at the bustling Time Out Market. The culinary walking tour continues for about 2 miles through the Chiado and Baixa neighborhoods, and ends at the Praça da Figueira next to Rossio Square. You will explore the market, visit some traditional shops, and taste some of the local delights such as canned fish, delicious Portuguese bread and cheese, cod fish cakes, traditional Ginja sweet cherry liqueur (non-alcoholic option for kids), and the famous Pastel de Nata pastry.
