Less than an hour away from Lisbon is an area that includes a 110 square kilometer national park, some of the country’s best beaches, a charming fishing village, a 12th C. Moorish castle, and a wine producing area believed to be home to the first vines ever planted on the Iberian Peninsula over 4,000 years ago.
It’s a perfect place to take a day trip outside of Lisbon to discover some of the places that are well known to locals for the natural beauty of the region and the cultural and historical places of interest.
